A wasted year costs more than just time. The Strong Interest Inventory ® can get your students heading in the right career direction from the start.
The most respected and widely used career development instrument in the world, the Strong is a powerful tool for anyone starting a career. For over 75 years, the Strong has helped students search for rich and fulfilling careers. The Strong Interest Inventory instrument is based on the idea that individuals are more satisfied and productive when they work in jobs or at tasks that they find interesting and when they work with people whose interests are similar to their own.
The Strong measures your student’s interests in a broad range of occupations, work activities, leisure activities and school subjects. The questionnaire compares how these interests are similar to the interests of people successfully employed in those occupations. It is used to help people understand their work interests and to illustrate the kinds of work in which they might be most satisfied. The newly revised assessment includes jobs in the fast-growing fields of computer hardware and electronics, marketing and advertising, finance and accounting along with traditional jobs.
