Laurie B. Lippin received her doctorate in Adult Education from the University of Maryland. Her doctoral research used the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator ® (MBTI ®) to examine the personality types of incarcerated women. Articles on her research have been published in the Journal of Psychological Type (Volume 19, 1990) and The Bulletin of Psychological Type (Winter, 1991). An instructor at the University of California at Davis, Laurie teaches courses in ethnicity for the department of adult education and Community Regional Development. She uses the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator to increase students' understanding of themselves and each other, as an entry window to diversity, and to clarify teaching/learning style dynamics. Laurie also maintains an independent consulting practice. Her areas of expertise include diversity training, archetypal psychology, Total Quality Management, team building and training of trainers.
