Nancy Barger is a self-employed consultant and trainer. She specializes in using the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator ® (MBTI ®) assessment to assist organizations undergoing significant change. She also works in leadership development and management training. Nancy is a former President of the Association for Psychological Type and also served APT as International Liaison. Her special interest and expertise in multi-cultural uses of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator include facilitating APT's qualifying training program in New Zealand, Great Britain, and Canada, as well as the U.S.; consulting and training in those countries and in Singapore; and leading training session in applying the MBTI tool in multi-cultural settings. Her publications include The Challenge of Organizational Change: Helping Employees Thrive in the New Frontier, co-author with Linda Kirby (Davies-Black, 1995); and "Multi-cultural Uses of the MBTI ® instrument," Research Supplement to the MBTI ® Manual, co-author with Linda Kirby, (Consulting Psychologists Press, 1996). Nancy's background includes 10 years as Executive Director of the Career Development Center, a self-supporting non-profit organization providing counseling for career development and transition. She received her Bachelor of Science in Special Education from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, and her Master of Arts Degree in Human Development Counseling from the University of Denver.
