Le Saskatchewan Government Insurance (SGI) a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 d\u2019adopter une m\u00e9thode diff\u00e9rente : on utilise les tests dans le cadre d\u2019un programme de perfectionnement de carri\u00e8re pour le personnel existant. Le programme vise \u00e0 installer chaque individu dans le poste qui lui convient le mieux et faire d\u00e9couvrir au personnel la vaste gamme de carri\u00e8res possibles au sein de SGI.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Nous voulons que chaque personne assume la direction de son propre perfectionnement de carri\u00e8re \u00bb, pr\u00e9cise Danielle Peterson, conseill\u00e8re en ressources humaines chez SGI. Pour ce faire, on a mis sur pied le programme \u2018Quelle est la couleur de votre carri\u00e8re?\u2019, une initiative b\u00e9n\u00e9vole de 2 jours offerte plusieurs fois dans l\u2019ann\u00e9e et accessible \u00e0 plus des 1 800 membres du personnel de SGI.<\/p>\n<p>On demande \u00e0 chaque participant de remplir deux tests d\u2019\u00e9valuation en ligne avant le d\u00e9but du programme, soit un inventaire de leurs int\u00e9r\u00eats et un questionnaire d\u2019\u00e9chelle des valeurs en vue de les aider \u00e0 se d\u00e9couvrir.<\/p>\n<p>Le premier jour, les participants assistent \u00e0 une initiation de SGI. \u00c0 cette occasion, ils d\u00e9couvrent les ant\u00e9c\u00e9dents de l\u2019organisation, le cheminement de carri\u00e8re et le site Web des carri\u00e8res chez SGI. Plusieurs anciens employ\u00e9s de SGI sont surpris d\u2019apprendre qu\u2019il existe plus de 200 classifications de postes chez SGI \u2013 des opportunit\u00e9s qu\u2019ils n\u2019ont sans doute pas envisag\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p>Le deuxi\u00e8me jour, on analyse les r\u00e9sultats des deux \u00e9valuations. L\u2019Inventaire des int\u00e9r\u00eats de carri\u00e8re aide les gens \u00e0 pr\u00e9ciser leurs int\u00e9r\u00eats et les associer \u00e0 leur travail et \u00e0 leurs choix de carri\u00e8res. Les employ\u00e9s utilisent ensuite cette information pour faire le lien entre ce qu\u2019ils aiment faire et les carri\u00e8res qui satisfont ces attentes au sein de SGI. En aidant les gens \u00e0 formuler de meilleurs choix de carri\u00e8res, les employ\u00e9s peuvent alors s\u2019engager dans une voie o\u00f9 ils seront plus susceptibles d\u2019\u00eatre heureux dans l\u2019organisation. Mme Peterson ajoute : \u00ab Les employ\u00e9s qui sont heureux dans leur choix de carri\u00e8re donnent g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement un meilleur rendement et tendent \u00e0 s\u2019\u00e9panouir dans l\u2019organisation. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>SGI utilise \u00e9galement l\u2019\u00e9chelle des valeurs de carri\u00e8re. Shawn Bakker, psychologue chez Psychometrics Canada, dit que \u00ab les valeurs sont essentielles, car elles aident \u00e0 appr\u00e9cier le degr\u00e9 de satisfaction de la carri\u00e8re choisie \u00bb. Il poursuit en affirmant que \u00ab dans le processus de l\u2019orientation professionnelle et du d\u00e9veloppement, l\u2019employ\u00e9 qui pr\u00e9cise ses valeurs acquiert une connaissance de soi-m\u00eame souvent absente et il peut mieux d\u00e9signer la carri\u00e8re la plus satisfaisante pour lui parmi les choix qui lui sont offerts. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Danielle Peterson offre un exemple bien concret : \u00ab si un individu juge que pour lui, la vie familiale est une valeur fondamentale, la carri\u00e8re d\u2019expert en sinistres appel\u00e9 \u00e0 voyager d\u2019un bout \u00e0 l\u2019autre de la province ne convient pas du tout. Il risque d\u2019\u00eatre malheureux, et il ne demeurera pas longtemps \u00e0 ce poste. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Apr\u00e8s un examen des r\u00e9sultats des tests, les participants consacrent le reste de la journ\u00e9e \u00e0 des s\u00e9ances individuelles de coaching; ils d\u00e9couvrent aussi quelles positions leur conviennent bien chez SGI. Ils peuvent alors formuler leurs plans individuels de d\u00e9veloppement de carri\u00e8re. Ceci peut n\u00e9cessiter plus de recherche et peut amener l\u2019individu \u00e0 faire du jumelage ou de l\u2019observation ou \u00e0 s\u2019engager dans des s\u00e9ances de formation ou il acquiert les aptitudes requises pour entreprendre une nouvelle carri\u00e8re au sein de l\u2019organisation.<\/p>\n<p>SGI a \u00e9t\u00e9 fond\u00e9 en 1945. Il assure la gestion du Saskatchewan Auto Fund, le programme d\u2019assurance automobile obligatoire de m\u00eame que la direction de SGI Canada, une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 d\u2019assurance concurrentielle qui cible les march\u00e9s d\u2019assurance des biens et d\u2019assurance de risques divers. L\u2019organisation d\u00e9nombre 20 centres d\u2019indemnisation \u00e9parpill\u00e9s dans 13 communaut\u00e9s \u00e0 travers la province; il compte \u00e9galement deux succursales, soit \u00e0 Winnipeg et \u00e0 Edmonton. Il est \u00e9vident qu\u2019un tel programme m\u00e9ritait d\u2019\u00eatre mis sur pied quand on consid\u00e8re le vaste choix de carri\u00e8res qui s\u2019offre dans un si grand nombre de centres.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab En fin de compte, il s\u2019agit de placer la bonne personne dans le bon poste \u00bb, dit Danielle Peterson, \u00ab tr\u00e8s souvent, les gens savent o\u00f9 ils veulent aller; nous les aidons \u00e0 tracer une voie tangible qui les am\u00e8ne plus rapidement \u00e0 leur destination. \u00bb C\u2019est une meilleure strat\u00e9gie pour les employ\u00e9s qui produit de
