Composing 8.1% of the population, ENFPs truly look at life as an adventure, full of possibilities about the present and the future. They are typically very skilled at understanding how people and groups work, and are tenacious in pursuing what is important to them. They are observed as adaptable, and can seem to make the best out of any situation. Their energy and enthusiasm can be contagious, and encourages others to make the best of things too. They are unusually perceptive about the world, and experience a wide range of feelin enfp-picture gs and intense emotions. They work best when they are affirmed by others, and in return, readily give appreciation and support in kind.

Important ENFP Contributions

Due to their combination of preferences, ENFPs tend to be gifted innovators, initiating projects and putting energy into getting them started. They readily find meaning and significance in things, and connect ideas that others often don’t. For this reason, they are likely to demonstrate creativity, curiosity and imagination, and bring energy and enthusiasm to any team. Due to their emphasis on harmony and goodwill, they also enjoy pleasing others and try to adapt to their needs when possible. Seeing the possibilities for others, they bring energy and motivation to move individuals and teams forward in new ways.

Some Blind Spots

While ENFPs are invaluable due to their ability to adapt, create and motivate others, there are a few things they need to be aware of to get the most out of their style. As ENFPs tend to get caught up in the idea of things, they may overlook details, parameters and structures required for actually implementing their inspirations. Furthermore, their ideas may lack logic and reason to properly gauge the legitimacy of their insights, resulting in miscommunication or non-action when presenting it to others. Additionally, as they avoid routine, they may ignore how important it may be for individuals on their team; moreover, this lack of attention to time structures combined their fervor for pleasing others may result in overextending themselves in personal and professional life.
