Navigating Hard Conversations with Managers, Peers, and Direct Reports

Leveraging the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument (TKI®)

All organizational members, no matter at what level, should be able to engage effectively in hard conversations. Examples of these conversations might be disagreeing with a manager over an assignment, giving feedback to a peer, or informing direct reports about a difficult organizational change.

Sadly, people often avoid these conversations, overly accommodate others when they do have them, or just plain lack the skills to effectively work through hard conversations.

  • In this webinar, you will learn:
Basics about hard conversations and their relationship to conflict
A process model for understanding how hard conversations unfold
How to use the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument (TKI®) to help people better navigate hard conversations
How to apply the process model and the TKI® in a real-world example
